Dean Neuwirth is an honors graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School.  He has a local reputation for strong legal writing and analysis.  After serving as a law clerk for highly-regarded U.S. District Court Judge John L. Kane, Jr., Mr. Neuwirth spent several years as a business litigator at the trial court level.  Over time he began to handle trial-level criminal defense work as well.  He has been a litigator for his entire legal career, since 1986.

Starting in 1999, Mr. Neuwirth began working on appeals with Colorado lawyer Jean Dubofsky.  Ms. Dubofsky is a former member of the Colorado Supreme Court; she was the first female justice to sit on that court and the youngest person ever named to that court.  After leaving the bench she became a private practitioner.  She has a national reputation as an appellate lawyer.  Over the course of dozens of appeals, Ms. Dubofsky personally trained Mr. Neuwirth in every aspect of appellate practice.  Although Ms. Dubofsky is now retired from accepting new cases on her own, she sometimes consults on Mr. Neuwirth's appeals.
